Team Member Self Intro

 
Kevin Zhu

Currently I work as a Senior Software Engineer at a large clean energy company. I am responsible for designing scalable monitoring software platform for distributed commercial green energy facilities around the world.

 

I worked for Microsoft from 2001 to 2008 at different levels of software design engineering positions. I worked on system update installation technologies for Windows Vista; on Microsoft Business Framework, a software application platform, among other interesting things. At Microsoft, my work was recognized by Microsoft Gold Star award (Mar 2006) and Windows Serviceability Innovation Award (July 2005) I joined Microsoft right after I completed my education in Computer Science from University of Texas at Austin in 2001.

 

At AIQuant, I am responsible for software architecture and project directions.

Charley Guo

Currently I work as a Senior Staff Scientist in a medical device company in Silicon Valley. My focus is medical image processing, disease classification and diagnosis.

 

I received my PhD in Computer Science from UCLA. My research area is Artificial Intelligence, especially in Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Statistical Modeling. I recieved my BS from Tsinghua University.

Ky Wang

Currently I am a programmer/analyst in a NYC based brokerage service company. My major work is design/develop/maintain a real time fixed incoming trading system. I have extensive experience on COM, .NET framework, C#, SQL Server etc. I am also interested in OO design patterns and Agile Development practices.

 

I received MS in Mechanical Engineering from State University of New York at Stony Brook and BS from Tsinghua University.

 

Phil Shao


I have been working at a software company since 2006. I am interested in designing tools that can benifit traders. I am good at both Native and Managed programming including WPF UI design.

Leon Zhou


Mr. Zhou started his career in software development and business in 1999, and since then he served in several companies at various positions, including software engineer, lead developer, and principal consultant. He had extensive working experiences in full-life cycle software development. In addition to the expertise in software engineering, Mr. Zhou is also specialized in geospatial technologies, and information risk management.
 
Beginning in late 2006, Mr. Zhou and his partner co-founded his software company.
 
Mr. Zhou holds B.E. from Tsinghua University at Beijing in China, and M.S. from Old Dominion University at Norfolk, Virginia in U.S.

 

Charles Cheng


I have been with Microsoft for 7 years developing and testing data centric systems and applications. I have been a passionate star performer at Microsoft and my thirst for data technology never seems to be able to get quenched.

Alber Yan


Mr. Yan joined in a software company in 2006. He has been working on sever side software design and development. He has a patent on the application of pattern recognition and a patent on search.

Mr. Yan started he software development career in 1999, where he led the development of a commercial hydraulic simulation system. Shortly after he worked on a Internet knowledge system in Europe. After 2001, he worked as a research assistant for developing high performance optimization algorithms in the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) and National Center for Supercomputing Application (NCSA).

 

His research focused on applying optimization algorithms and machine learning techniques in a distributed system to tackle complex engineering problems.

Mr Yan has extensive experience on designing and modeling complex systems, numerical computation, optimization algorithms, artificial intelligence, and high performance/distributed computation.

 

Mr. Yan earned his B.S and M.S degree from Tongji University. He earned his Ph.D degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2006.
